Entry: Surbuia @ Large Monday, March 12, 2007

Okay, okay, okay.  I hear you!

I disappeared without a note, and for this I apologize.

The explanation is that I became bored with my writing and the suburban material in general, therefore I decided to take a break in the hopes that the muse would find me again.  I forgot to tell you guys; I assumed you knew but that doesn't make sense because obviously you're not in my head.

I'll be back soon to regale you with more stories from Suburbia.

More later

Hi S@L:
(I tried emailing you but I couldn't find your email address)
My good friend KTP at House of Prince was giving me some feedback about my dilemma over whether or not I want to hire a nanny, and she mentioned that you had a nanny. So I thought that, even though I am a complete stranger, you might take a minute and give me some insight into the pros and cons of the situation.
My girls are 2 and 4 years old and are currently in daycare. One of their teacher indicated an interest in working as a nanny, and before I knew it I had hired her! Only /after/ did I wonder if I really wanted a nanny. My concerns are:
How much to pay her.
How to define my expectations of her.
and the million dollar question is: Is it really going to be that much better then daycare, so that it will be worth disrupting our whole routine?

Any words of wisdom you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
